20 Renders of Apple's Futuristic Spaceship Headquarters

The city of Cupertino just recently greenlit the construction of Apple’s new corporate campus expansion in the southern Californian city called Campus 2—and now we’ve got some fascinating renders from the city council of what it might look like in 2016 when the construction is complete.
The expansion is planned on a 176 acre piece of land and the preposed 2.8 million square feet building will have room for up to 13,000 designers, engineers, and other Apple employees. If you didn’t realize that Apple was already one of the best companies in the world to work for, the proposed facilities include an underground parking facility that can accommodate up to 2,400 cars, a 100,000 square foot workout facility, and 120,000 square foot auditorium. The campus is also being labeled as a highly environmentally-friendly facility with up to 70 percent of its energy coming from sources such as solar and fuel cells.
The center of the expansion is what is being dubbed the “spaceship” (for obvious reasons)—a four-story ring that where most of Apple’s employees will go to work every day. Check out the futuristic, minimalist design of the campus in the renders here.
