Philip Seymour Hoffman's Cause of Death Released
New York officials have confirmed actor Philip Seymour Hoffman’s cause of death. As many suspected, heroin was involved with the actor’s untimely passing. But a new report, released today, also reveals a toxic combination which included “cocaine, amphetamines and benzodiazepines,” according to the Associated Press.
On Feb. 2, Hoffman was found dead in his New York apartment. The actor was located by police with a needle in his arm. It was reported in 2013 that Hoffman had undergone treatment for heroin addiction. Officials have ruled the death to be an accident.
